Onsite Computer Repair within 60-mile radius of Belmont, NC 28012

On July 5th, 2023, as the result of needed system updates, the previous HJR SOFTWARE website became corrupted and unpresentable. Rather than try to fix whatever the issues were that lead to this problem, the owner has decided to start FRESH and create a new site entirely. This will be the 4th re-invention of the site. However, it may take a while to get the site back up and running to a recognizable and function site. Rest assured, HJR SOFTWARE is still in business and still operating as usual.

HJR SOFTWARE provides on-site computer repair, computer technical support, information technology (IT) technical support, new and used computer hardware and software, smart-home integration, website hosting, website development, and affordable computer maintenance plans. HJR SOFTWARE is the oldest and best computer company in Gaston County, North Carolina and has been in business since 1990.

If you need computer repair service or technical support, call 704-825-7440.

Typical operating hours: Monday – Friday: 10 AM – 10 PM (during the summer)

On Call: Saturdays: 10 AM – 5 PM and Sundays: 2 PM – 8 PM.

HJR SOFTWARE works on everything computer related. Business computers, home computers, PC’s, Apples, and anything that you can connect to a computer physically or wirelessly, HJR SOFTWARE deals with.

Since COVID, a lot of office workers have become work-from-home employees. HJR SOFTWARE can assist you as either the business (employer) or the employee. Even if your company has its own larger in-house IT department, many times those departments do not do field work. In other words, the IT department may attempt to repair a computer or computer-related device remotely (over the phone and/or by remotely logging into the device), but the issue becomes too complicated, it hardware related, or requires touch by a qualified repair technician. I work with IT Departments in all sorts of businesses. Give HJR SOFTWARE a call and I will visit the location where the device is and coordinate repair efforts with your company’s IT department. This is even useful sometimes with the problem is not dire but the employee is unable to follow their IT departments instructions to get a fix, upgrade, or problem resolved. I am far more likely to resolve the issue on the first visit within an hour or two at a cost less than the total cost of the employee being without their computer for several days while that computer is mailed back to the company, fixed by the IT department and then mailed back to the employee.

HJR SOFTWARE provides maintenance plans that allow me to be your Information Technology Assistance and Repair Technicians. I provide training, problem resolution, repairs, upgrades, and even help with new purchases, adding equipment, and providing professional recommendations for new hardware such as laptops, desktops, and printers. The HJR SOFTWARE maintenance plans allow businesses and individuals to manage their Tech Support and Repair costs via an affordable monthly subscription fee instead of being hit is unexpected high costly break-fix expenses. HJR SOFTWARE accepts practically all traditional payment methods and most newly invented ones. However, we do not provide financing, but through one of our payment processors, you may be able to receive financing through them at time of purchase.

There is only 1 reason to dial my number and that is to HIRE HJR SOFTWARE to address a computer related issue that you want fixed. Do not TEXT my number without first talking to me and getting my permission to do so. If you CALL or TEXT my number for any reasons other than to purchase my computer services or present me with a computer related issue that you wish to pay me to address and resolve, you subject yourself to a $500 charge whether I answer the phone or acknowledge the reception of your text message. The charge is per incident. So before you purposely accidentally contact me, be aware that accidentally dialing my number, interrupting what I am already doing, especially if your reason for contacting me does not lead to you buying my services, you may have to pay for disrupting me.

Understand that if you failed to leave a message that provides reasonable information that sounds like you need computer service, your call will most likely not be returned. If you call using an automated dialer, Artificial Intelligence, or fail to state your needs when I do answer the phone within 3 seconds, your number will be BLOCKED and you will remain subject to a $500 charge for contacting me.

I consider any caller failing to leave a detailed message upon receiving my answer service UNIMPORTANT and UNWORTHY of a call back. My service may not let you leave a message if your number has been reported as a potential spam caller. Unless you are a current subscriber of one of my maintenance plans, calling me outside of my operational hours is considered rude and most likely will not workout well for you. Don’t do it. You may be able to visit some Google websites and control to some degree some of the information that may be collected websites on the internet including HJR SOFTWARE. You may not control ALL the data being collected or shared by you and there is absolutely nothing that I can do to assist you being able to control ALL the data being collected that may or may not contain your personal identifiable attributes, information, or behavior. Since you are using the internet in order to view this page and my site, Google requires that I provide you with some sort of privacy notice regarding how I may be using your collected information. Notice #2: Any and all information you expressly submit to me or expose me to by any means, such as filling out a form on this website, calling me and having a conversation with me, mailing me, or texting me, shall be considered my property upon reception. You have no rights to my property and may not influence what I do with my property by any means whatsoever. If you feel there is some information that you do not want me to have, DO NOT EXPOSE ME TO IT or submit it to me. This is as plain and simple as I can make it. I typically and historically have used all information that became my property for the benefit of keeping my business in business. Therefore, I retain nearly all my property for a lifetime — mine. I do not sell, rent, or share my informational property to others that are in the business of marketing or advertising by any means. I rarely use direct methods of advertising to you and others. However, I do own or operate multiple businesses that span across different industries. All of the businesses I own may have access to any historical data that has become my property

An example of my property that may appear relevant: A person may have called me 30 years ago and presented me with a computer related issue. In doing so, I may have recorded the conversation or transcribed notes about it that were placed into my information database and contact management system. 30 years later, that prospect or customer may call me back, and their phone number or some personal identifiable information they previously shared with me 30 years ago, may come up and still be accessible to me today. While highly unlikely, it is possible that person may have provided the model number or serial number to a device they owned 30 years ago and I may still have both pieces of information. If they still own that piece of equipment it would therefore allow me to serve them better this time around as whatever notes I took 30 years ago may assist me today. No one else sees this data or has access to it. But, this is the typical way I collect and use collected data that has become my property. All notes that I add to that property continue to be my property. And stated, you have no control or influence on my property including the inability to later tell me, ask me, or demand that I delete such property.

If I were to sell my business, only then would my property and/or potentially some of your collected data possibly be released. Active accounts at that time would definitely be purchased by the buyer and it would be up to them and their ethics on how to then use their property. Inactive accounts older than 3 years would be purged and not be part of any sales agreement that I would make. All other data that is my property will be purged upon a sale and/or the end of HJR SOFTWARE or my life.

The legal notices and disclosures provided here will be refined as the site is rebuilt and some verbiage may be changed upon council’s review. In the interim this will have to suffice as compliance to all Google and other entity privacy disclosure statements.

Who Should and Shouldn’t Contact HJR SOFTWARE

Loading

When you need a computer related device repaired or have an interest in purchasing new computer software or equipment and that equipment is or will be located within 60 miles of Belmont, NC, zip code 28012, then you should call HJR SOFTWARE when you are ready to get the situation taken care of. As you should expect of every computer business you deal with, HJR SOFTWARE charges for computer repairs, technical support, software, consultations, and computer related sales and services. So, have your payment method available, a realistic budget, and a kind willingness to pay for the high-quality service and products available from HJR SOFTWARE.

In the first two decades of operation, HJR SOFTWARE used a lot of plural pronouns. However, this company has been operated by mostly 1 individual throughout the majority of its history, so in its latest online versions and printed paperwork, all pronouns referring to HJR SOFTWARE henceforth will be singular. As the operator, I have been serving customers for over 35 years. I continue to stay engaged and very busy forever working on something. I enjoy assisting people with their computer concerns and I’m very good at what I do. I am extremely grateful to the clients that choose HJR SOFTWARE for their computer sales and service needs. I am dedicated to being a reliable provider of reputable computer related products and services. If you live or work within my service area, I strive to respond as quickly as possible and get your situation working successfully.

If you are a client subscriber to any HJR SOFTWARE service, you have priority access and the right to contact me at any time 24/7/365. The plan that you subscribe to provides you with the right to call, text, or email me any time you have a question, concern, or issue of any kind. If I do not answer, I will return your communications, at my first available opportunity.

If you are not a current subscriber, then the best times to reach me is between 11 AM and 7 PM, Monday through Friday. I am open 10 AM through 9 PM daily. However, after doing this for 3.5 decades, I am finding that early mornings, late evenings, and weekends are better spent on my health and personal endeavors. Additionally, and traditionally, attempts to reach me during the last week of May and the first 2 weeks of June every year may prove to be difficult and responses during those times may definitely be delayed.

Unfortunately, during recent years, telephone marketing has become an intrusive, objectionable, nightmare! Too many unscrupulous people with automated dialers and bad intentions have been bothering me and despite reasonable efforts, the situation is getting worse instead of better. I used to do everything that I could to answer incoming calls on the first or second ring with my best positive attitude expecting to greet a potentially new or familiar customer. It’s hard to do that now days when 4 out of every 5 incoming calls is an annoying, time wasting, automated dialer, or a stupid, insensitive, inconsiderate person who thinks I must need whatever it is they are selling, both of which have absolutely no legitimate reason whatsoever dialing my number.

My number is for people that want or need my assistance with a computer related issue that they are having, and they are ready and willing to pay for my assistance. It’s not useful to or for anyone else for any reason, except possibly for communicating with friends and family when attempts to reach me via another method failed. If you have some public office you are campaigning for or some political, religious, ideological crap, DO NOT DIAL MY NUMBER. I don’t care if you found Jesus descending from heaven straight into your living room, if you or he doesn’t have a computer issue that you are ready and willing to get resolved, DO NOT DIAL MY NUMBER! If your latest gadget selling for the unbelievable price of a few pennies on the dollar just became self-aware and anointed you King of all the Shit in Mazandaran province, Iran, DO NOT DIAL MY NUMBER!

Please READ with UNDERSTANDING and COOPERATION very carefully every word in this post. If you are not one of the humans identified by the categories of those who SHOULD contact me, then you are an entity who SHOULDN’T call me. Do not harvest my phone number. Do not dial my number. Do not share it. Skip over it and forget it. It is not for you. And I DO NOT WISH TO HEAR FROM YOU.

If I didn’t explicitly contact you and request that you call me back, then YOU nor YOUR AUTOMATED DIALER SHOULD BE DIALING MY NUMBER, EVER!

Keep in mind that I am here to serve and assist those that need assistance with their computers. My phone number is only to be used for that purpose. If you do not have a computer related issue, DO NOT CALL ME!

NEVER CALL ME TRYING TO SELL ME SOMETHING I NEVER EXPLICITLY CONTACTED YOU FIRST ABOUT. I categorically decline and disapprove of any merchant that I have done business with sharing my contact information with someone else, another company, or any of their affiliates who might try to contact me offering me anything out of the blue. NO ONE HAS MY PERMISSION to try to SELL ME ANYTHING until you hear me using words coming out of my mouth specifically asking you to call me about something I asked you about. I have been alive long enough to know EXACTLY where to get or buy ANYTHING and EVERYTHING I will ever need, which means, I don’t need anyone to tell me about anything they are trying to sell or get me interested in. I charge solicitors, advertisers, marketers, spammers, scammers, salespeople, or anyone dialing my number, texting me, or sending me an email for non-billable computer related issues $500 per incident. I AM ALWAYS BUSY DOING SOMETHING IMPORTANT TO ME! Every call is an interruption and disruption. I am happy to take a call and be of service to anyone in need of computer related services. You will be charged $500 for interrupting me with crap that I have no interest in and doesn’t require my computer services. I DO NOT NEED ANYTHING YOU ARE SELLING. If you approach me with something that you THINK I need to know about, I will blacklist you and NEVER take an interest in your product or service. You also subject yourself to being publicly exposed, commented on, ridiculed, blocked, and scandalized.

ONLY dial my number if you have a computer issue that you are ready for me to solve and you are prepared to pay whatever it costs to provide you with superb service to address your issues. If I am unable to answer your call, ONLY LEAVE A MESSAGE if you SERIOUSLY want me to fix your computer related issue. If you FAIL to leave a message, I will not return your call. If your message is CRAP and I identify the caller using means available to me, you will get a bill for $500 per incident. I reserve the right to accumulate such charges until they reach a sum that I feel will likely bankrupt you or your company if you persist in interrupting me, bothering me, harassing me, texting me, or filling up my voicemail box with your crap (incidentally, fines are doubled to $1000 per incident if you fill up my voicemail box and prevent another legitimate caller from being able to leave a message. If I speak to someone that tells me they were unable to leave a message because my mailbox was full, I will conclude that every caller that called since your call filled up my box was a billable client that needed my assistance, and you will be charged $1000 for every missed call that occurred regardless of who the caller was, even if it was you calling me multiple times without being able to leave a message.) 90% or more of callers dialing my number obtained that number from an internet search or an algorithm that used a bot to obtain my number. I STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT YOU ONLY CALL ME IF YOU NEED COMPUTER SERVICE. It is MY phone number and MY RIGHT to Be UNKIND to anyone calling my number for anything other than computer service.

If you SHOULD call me, I look forward to receiving your call. If you SHOULDN’T call me, then DON’T, or you will definitely not enjoy the experience or the ramifications thereof.

Gaming PC Building Tips, Tricks, and Recommendations!

In recent years it has become popular for individuals to try to build their own GAMING systems. While this is a fun endeavor, it can become very costly for you if you try to put components together without following a proven and tested build. Not every manufacturer’s RAM, Video Card, or Motherboard is compatible with other brands. Sometimes, they aren’t even compatible with their own brands.

Be aware that overclocking processors will get you closer to overheating situations. If you are planning to build a GAMING system for the first time, make sure you do the necessary research to be very comfortable assembling your system. I suggest that you consult a professional systems integrator (such as myself) or purchase a kit with all the components supplied by the same supplier who has also built that kit before and provides you with step-by-step instructions for that particular build.

If you call me during your planning stage and let me know what you are considering, the games you wish to play, the number of monitors you wish to use, and any other particular gaming accessories you wish to have, I can assist you much easier at that time. If you run into problems with an unproven build, you may become disappointed when my inspection of your equipment reveals that you bought something that is incompatible with another item you bought and during your trial and error building process you damaged 1 or more components that cannot be returned for an exchange, or you have to buy additional costly components.

Research, plan, buy previously known well-tested builds, and follow recommended building instructions and you will most likely have success building your own GAMING PC. That being said, consider the following as well: If you currently drive a modern-day automobile, while it might be challenging that you wish to take on, it is impractical to build a new, modern car, on your own to a state of acceptability by most state or governmental standards such that they car you build would legally be allowed to operate on public roads. This is why people buy cars that have been previously assembled by highly qualified technicians and quality tested before being sold as a performing vehicle. As a driver, you do not need to know how every component fits together or operates in your car. You will get more use out of it by knowing how to drive it and doing so often enjoy it for what it is. Likewise, you may find it far more beneficial to you to purchase a ready to use gaming PC. Most of the ones available these days come with RGB LED lit fans, fast computer processors, and builds that have been tested repeatedly and rank well for playing the type of high-end games that you really want to enjoy playing. Therefore, my best advice is to spend more time reviewing the specifications, reviews, and compatibility of ready-made GAMING systems to locate and choose one that offers a known playing experience that wish to achieve with the games that you plan to play. You will appreciate having a system that has hundreds or thousands of purchasers who already on a particular model of a computer and have left feedback regarding how effective the model is at presenting the games that interest you. While some gaming systems have expensive price tags on them, in all likelihood, a model that has hundreds or thousands of satisfied users will cost you a lot less than it will cost you to try to build a similar system with matching specs using components that you feel make-up such a system.

There are a lot of gaming pc brands, so I do not necessarily recommend any one brand over another. Instead, as previously mentioned, to help you select a new gaming machine, I would be interested in knowing the names of the games you wish to play and how many monitors you want attached to your gaming system. Starting with that, I can begin recommending systems with high performances and great gamer reviews.

Soon, I will list a few Gamer PC’s for sale that show some of the popular games that these GAMING PC’s are known to receive good user ratings. You may be able to purchase one directly from this page, if desired.

BEWARE of Idiots and their STUPID Deceptive Business Practices

Local Search Group / Business Listing Center = Idiots with Stupid Deceptive Business Practices.

August 25th, 2023

If you are receiving automated calls from someone claiming they work for Google or that they can negatively affect your Google business listing(s), you might wish to question that company’s motivation and ethics. Local Search Group today has really ticked me off with their lying, scheming, and bothersome tactics.

The following occurred today. I have had to almost 2 hours and 30 minutes to try to deal with this today. This is NOT the way I wish to start my day.

This business, [Local Search Group], is involved in DECEPTIVE and ILLEGAL BUSINESS PRACTICES. At 9:20 AM, I received an AUTOMATICALLY DIALED CALL prior to my business opening times. The automated caller left a voicemail message threatening that my Google Business Listing would be negatively affected if I did not call them back. The following is a transcript of that phone call:

Hello, this is the Business Listing Center calling with an Urgent message. Your business listing has been flagged for review! If you are the business owner, please call us at 866-493-8165 to verify your business with Google. If your Google account is not verified properly, customers searching for your services on Google WILL NOT FIND YOUR LISTING. Please call 866-493-8165 to speak with a live representative to confirm your Google Listing Verification.

To me, that sounds like this company, The Business Listing Center, can affect my Google Business Profile or its Listing Status in Google Search Results. So, I called the number.

Cameron, or someone claiming to be Cameron, answered the phone. He didn’t identify the company he was working for at first. He asked for the name of my business and my phone number. I asked him who he was, the name of his company, and what they do. The conversation became ugly right from the start. Eventually, Cameron says that he works for Local Search Group. Later, he would admit that he does not work for Google and cannot affect my Google listings in Google. He kept denying that he called me and that he had no idea what I was talking about.

However, Cameron answered the phone as if all he does all day long is field incoming calls generated by an Automated Dialer. I asked him if he could see the number I was calling from. He said Yes and called it out. I asked him if his company had any information for that number. He looked it up and stated that I had 2 business listings currently in Good Standing using that number. Because I had 2 listing, yes, his verification department may have called me to clarify the listing or to let me know something was wrong with the listing.

Again, I asked him if he worked for Google or had the ability to affect my listings. He said “Not without my authorization.” Several times I told him that he does not have my authorization and I tried to reconfirm that he has no capability to affect my Google listings or their rankings in search engines. I asked him to REMOVE my information from his companies’ records, to stop calling me, and make sure that his company never again dials my number threatening me with the ability to affect any listing that I may have.

At first, he said he would comply and remove my information. By the end of the call, he was lying again. He said he HAD NOT removed my information. I asked to speak to someone else. He refused. I asked him for his legal business address. He gave me an address in Belmont, NC close to my personal residence. I asked him over 3 times for his company’s legal business address. Every time he just kept spouting off the residential address near me. I did a search for Local Search Group. It has the address of 17515 Spring Cypress Rd Suite C – 579, Cypress, TX 77429. I read that address off to him. I asked if that is where he was located? He said Yes (potentially another lie). I asked again. He spouted off the Belmont address. I told him that my attorneys would be in contact with him. As we hung up, under his breath, he said that was the wrong address.

I do not appreciate the tactics being used by this business. NO ONE HAS THE RIGHT TO CONTACT ME AND THREATEN TO DESTROY SOMETHING OF MINE, to RUIN MY BUSINESS, or MY REPUTATION. I will not stand for it. This company is going to remove my information from their records, and they are going to leave me alone. They are not going to dial my number ever again. IF THEY DO, I will charge them $500 per incident and $1000 per incident if they continue to harass me or cause me to invest my time to try to determine if they are legitimate or not.

I’m posting this on my website TOO for all to See!

I tried to leave the above business review of Local Search Group moments after my call back to the number I was told to dial ended. Although I was already logged into Google when I located the review, upon trying to submit the review, I was asked to login again and verify via my phone that it was me making the review. I did that correctly, but GOOGLE refused to accept the review and kept telling me that “something went wrong, please try again later.” I tried about 5 times. Same thing. So, I went ahead and posted this page to my website. THIS IS WHERE IT WILL REMAIN. I will try one last time after posting this page to get the business review to post on Google Reviews. If it fails, I’m not going to worry about it. But again, For Your Information, you should be aware of the deceptive, bothersome, advertising tactics of these 2 companies (if they are 2 different companies). I hereby BLACKLIST them both and they will not be used by me where I have any say so about it. I will continue to share my experience with others regarding their behavior. I have already relayed this story to a business client who called me while I was trying to file the review on Google.

If the review is accepted, I will post a link to it right here:

If you have received similar treatment from either of these 2 businesses, I encourage you to leave your review on Google, if it will let you. I am closing comments on this post because I do not want my site filled up with what other people think regarding this topic. Make your own decision on whether or not to do business with Local Search Group and Business Listing Center. I chose not to do so and THEY ARE GOING TO STOP bothering me I’m going to keep on billing them until they are BROKE!!!

Google better get their act together too, or they are next!!!
